About Auckland Park Theological Seminary 

  • Theological seminary Auckland Park Theological Seminary (ATS) is a Pentecostal and Charismatic seminary. It is situated in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, and has campuses in Mthatha and Durban, as well as offering distance learning courses. Prof. WJ Hattingh, who is also a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, is the school’s principal.
  • Theological training, education, and community development are all part of the mission of Auckland Park Theological Seminary (ATS), which was founded in 1950 as a non-profit organization (NPO) with Public Benefit Organization (PBO) status.
  • ATS is a non-denominational institution that works across denominational lines and is accredited as an official training institution by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
  • ATS offers certifications, diplomas, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees to prepare leaders from tertiary entry-level teaching to the highest academic qualifications. In addition, ATS has a contract with the University of North-West.
  • The Christian network has been identified by ATS as a critical success factor in creating peaceful and thriving communities for all. This network may be South Africa’s most powerful tool for reversing the country’s current downward spiral of corruption and poverty.

Auckland Park Theological Seminary’s Application Requirement

  • International and transfer students may enroll.
  • Applicants must have completed grade 12 before applying.
  • Candidates can apply either online or by downloading an application form from the CAO website.
  • Please go to www.cao.ac.za and click on the Central Applications Office – CAO link.
  • Identity Document
  • Certificate of completion of a degree or diploma (if available)
  • An academic record that includes conduct from previous studies at a tertiary institution
  • Proof of payment of the application cost, which is non-refundable.
  • Matriculation certificate/results

In addition, international students must provide:

  • ¬†A valid passport and study permit
  • SAQA verification certificate
  • Proof of financial means (bank statements, bursaries, cash on hand/travelers check to the bank information given);
