About Durban University of Technology

  • The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is a university in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, known in English as Durban University of Technology and in isiZulu as Inyuvesi Yasethekwini Yezobuchwepheshe. The Durban Institute of Technology was established in 2002 through the merger of Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon. It was originally known as the Durban Institute of Technology.
  • The Durban University of Technology is a South African university located in KwaZulu Natal. The University was formerly known as the Durban Institute of Technology and was created in 2002 through the amalgamation of Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon.

DUT Online application fee 2023-2024

  • All applications must be submitted via the application forms (available from the International School Office or downloaded from the website: www.dut.ac.za) and must include a non-refundable application fee. The early bird deadline is February 22nd, and the late deadline is April 25th.

2023/2024 Application Fee

An applicant must pay the following non-refundable application fee:

  • South African nationals pay R250,
  • while international applicants pay R300.

Payment Methods

  • Fees paid by nations other than South Africa should be sent to:
  • STANDARD BANK, Durban Main Branch; Branch Code 040026; SWIFT Code: SBZAZAJJ; Reference: G997 301374;
  • An electronic transfer to the Durban University of Technology (International School) Account Number: 050007068 at STANDARD BANK,
  • Durban Main Branch; Branch Code 040026; SWIFT Code: SBZAZAJJ; (and name of student).
  • Please include your name and address, as well as a note that the money is for the International School, and email or scan proof of payment to international@dut.ac.za.

Please take note:

  • Acceptance notices will be sent no later than May 30.
  • You will definitely receive news much sooner if you have entered an email address.
  • You must then make arrangements to pay the remaining payments by June 4, 2014.
  • Please scan and send a copy of your payment receipt to international@dut.ac.za.
