About University of Mpumalanga

  • Mbombela, South Africa is home to the University of Mpumalanga. It first opened its doors in 2014, with a small intake of 140 students.
  • For the current academic year, the University of Mpumalanga UMP Online Application window for undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees), Honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas, and Master’s & doctorate qualifications is now open.
  • If you want to apply for admission to the University of Mpumalanga’s undergraduate or postgraduate programs, you must do so through the University of Mpumalanga’s online application portal.
  • The application window is open for first-time University of Mpumalanga applicants, University of Mpumalanga students moving to a new qualification and/or specialization, and University of Mpumalanga students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization. Students who completed a higher certificate or any other program and intend to continue with further undergraduate studies, as well as those who previously sought admission and were not awarded a place or who were provided a space but did not accept the offer and did not register.

On submission of the application form, there is a non-refundable application fee.

  • R150 for citizens of South Africa
  • Citizens of the SADC: R150
  • R350 for citizens of other African countries.
  • R500 for citizens of countries outside of Africa.
  • Student identification number as reference number
    By the end of the academic year, all fees should be paid in full.

  • NB: Before you start with your application, ensure that you have electronic copies to upload (the accepted document types/format are: pdf, doc, Docx, tiff, PNG, jpg, jpeg):
  • certified copies of your identity document, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate, and all other relevant documents.
  • proof of non-refundable application fee (RSA/SADC Applicants R150, other African Countries R350 and countries outside Africa R500)
