  • Mbombela, South Africa is home to the University of Mpumalanga. It first opened its doors in 2014, with a small intake of 140 students.
  • For the current academic year, the University of Mpumalanga UMP Online Application window for undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees), Honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas, and Master’s & doctorate qualifications is now open.
  • If you want to apply for admission to the University of Mpumalanga’s undergraduate or postgraduate programs, you must do so through the University of Mpumalanga’s online application portal.

  • Regular admission requires a 3.0 GPA.
  • Academic probation requires a minimum GPA of 2.7.
  • For international students, the TOEFL iBT is necessary.

  • Official high school transcripts and/or transcripts from all colleges are required.
  • If you have less than 72 quarter credits or 60-semester credits, you must present an approved high school transcript or diploma (evidence of high school graduation).
  • Regular entry requires a minimum GPA of 2.3.
  • To be placed on academic probation, you must have a 2.0 GPA.
  • Scores on the SAT or ACT are recommended.
  • Students who do not have an SAT or ACT score or transfer credits will be asked to take a placement exam.
  • For international students, the TOEFL iBT is necessary.

Step 1:To apply, go Click here to apply and accept the UMP Online Application regulations before clicking “proceed.”

Step 2:To continue with your UMP Online Application, enter your biographical information and click “next.”

Step 3:Capture the specifics of the results, then add subjects and click “next.”

Step 4:Capture the information about the educational institution and then click “next”;

Step 5: Capture academic application information (select two options/programs to apply for), then click “add the qualification” and then “next”;

Step 6: After you’ve double-checked your application’s details, click “Continue.”

Step 7: Create your five-digit PIN (e.g. 24689), then check the “I accept” (twice) checkbox before clicking “Submit Application.”

Step 8:Upload your documents, then click “next” after selecting “yes” from the selection list if all of your documents are ready to be uploaded.

Step 9:  Select “Load/View Document” from the drop-down menu. “Document upload” >> “Choose/Browse file” navigates to the folder containing your documents, selects the appropriate document, and clicks “save”;

Step 10: Click “Finish upload” once all papers have been uploaded.

Step 11: The UMP Online Application comes to a close with the Confirmation Page.
