- Financial aid is a form of all-inclusive funding based on allowed educational expenses. The National Bursary Rules and Guidelines of the Department of Higher Education and Training established the allowed cost of education on an annual basis.
- NSFAS will award cash to eligible students based on their permitted cost of attendance; this does not include coverage for clubs and societies or any penalties.
- To see if their application was successful, applicants must go to My NSFAS. New and returning students’ eligibility for financial aid will be communicated to institutions by NSFAS.
- Qualified students’ registration (study charges) will be provided to NSFAS after registration. After receiving and processing registration cost data, NSFAS will confirm the actual grant amount.
- It’s important to remember that NSFAS won’t be able to do anything unless registration data is provided.
