About nwu

  • North-West College (NWC) was founded by Marsha Fuerst in 1966. Mrs. Fuerst’s family worked with allied healthcare professionals in the early 1950s. Mrs. Fuerst’s son, Mitchell Fuerst, continues to own and run North-West College. The Fuersts’ passion for career education and desire to provide high-quality, relevant training is one of the College’s principles.
  • The university’s short-term courses are designed to prepare students for gainful work. To do this, the University has a strong faculty, qualified administrators, and a first-rate support team. How to Apply 

Step-by-step logging in

Obtaining a student identification number is the first step (start at step 2 if you already have one)

  • For online applications, go to the application portal.
  • Choose New application.
  • Go to Create a new student number and fill out all of the fields.
  • Please keep in mind that acquiring a student number does not mean your application is finished. Please complete and submit your application by following all of the processes mentioned below. Incomplete applications will not be processed by the University.

Step 2: Create an account.

  • To log in, use your student number in conjunction with the PIN number you created.

Step 3: What would you like to learn about?

  • Fill up the blanks with the appropriate information. Learn more about the qualifications, delivery methods, and courses by browsing the yearbooks.

Step 4: Add supporting documents to your application.

Please submit the following supporting documents in order for us to evaluate your application. If your application is incomplete, the University may reject it:

  • Results from the 12th and 11th grades (final results only) If you have previously passed matric, you may also submit a copy of your matric certificate.
  • Applicants who are actively working on improving their grade 12 results will not be reviewed until the NWU receives the improved results.
  • Applicants who pursue the Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may be eligible for an exemption due to older age or post-school qualifications, must present a USAF exemption certificate.
