North-West University is a South African university with three campuses in Potchefstroom, Mahikeng (formerly Mafikeng), and Vanderbijlpark. Potchefstroom is where the University’s offices are located. North-West University has grown to become one of South Africa’s large universities, with 64 081 students (full-time and distance education).
This university was developed by a consortium of the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and the University of North-West (formerly the University of Bophuthatswana). Vanderbijlpark already had a branch of Potchefstroom University.
