Admission Requirements for NWU in 2023
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be considered for admission to degree study:

Applicants with a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) must pass a minimum of four 20-credit NSC subjects with a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59 percent) or higher.
Matriculation endorsement is required for applicants with a South African Senior Certificate.
Applicants with non-South African school-leaving certificates must be eligible for matriculation exemption certificates.

Please follow the steps below to apply for admission to North-West University NWU application online for 2023.

STEP 1: Navigate to http://studies.nwu.ac.za/studies/apply/.
STEP 2: When the online application form appears, fill it out correctly using BLOCK LETTERS.
STEP 3: Upload all required documents, such as a birth certificate, NSC certificate, or other certificates for international applicants. Details are provided below.
STEP 4: Once you’ve completed the application form and uploaded any required documents, click “Submit.”
NOTE: Application forms that are not completed and do not include all required documentation may be rejected or delayed.

Please include copies of the following documents:

Certificated copy of the highest academic qualification/ school grade.
Certified copies of ID documents of students and Next of Kin are required.
Certificated copy of proof of address.
Please note that certificated documents must not be older than 3 months.
Proof of NSFAS Application.

For the current academic year, the North West University NWU Online Application window for admission to undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees), Honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas, and Master’s & doctoral qualifications is now open.
