About South African Theological Seminary 

  • The South African Theological Seminary, founded in 1996 in Bryanston, South Africa, is a widely evangelical online education organization. Dr. Kevin Smith has been the seminary’s principal since May 2018.
  • Dr. Christopher Peppler founded the seminary in 1996 and is a founding member of the National Association of Distance Education Organizations in South Africa (NADEOSA). SATS is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), and its qualifications are registered with the South African Department of Higher Education and Training, which is analogous to regional accreditation in the United States in terms of quality.
  • SATS offers undergraduate (Higher Certificate in Christian Life, Higher Certificate in Christian Counseling, Bachelor of Theology B.Th., Bachelor of Theology with a focus on Christian Counseling) and post-graduate (Higher Certificate in Christian Life, Higher Certificate in Christian Counseling, Bachelor of Theology with a focus on Christian Counseling) and doctoral programs (B.Th. Honours, Master of Divinity, M.Th., Ph.D. in Theology).
  • The Village Church, which was planted by Rosebank Union Church, is responsible for the spiritual oversight of SATS. The seminary’s theological perspective is generally evangelical. The South African Theological Seminary’s objective is to prepare Christians, especially leaders, to be Holy Spirit empowered members of God’s household by providing Bible-based, Christ-centered, and Spirit-led distance education and training within their local church setting.

SATS online Registration 2023-2024

  • The South African Theological Seminary (SATS) invites applications from appropriately prepared high school graduates, non-school graduates, and graduates from accredited institutions. Should apply for full-time and part-time admission to the institution’s numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2023/2024 academic year.
  • SATS is an optional test that can be taken online or offline (by mail) by following the methods outlined below.

The Online Application Process for the South African Theological Seminary

  • Simply fill out the South African Theological Seminary Online Application Form and upload any required papers so that our administrative department can handle it.
  • Once all of the required costs have been paid, your application will be complete.
  • Now is the time to register for SATS.

  • Alternatively, you can get an application form from the Admissions Office. You’ll be given instructions on how to fill out the form.
  • You simply need to fill out one application. You have a choice of two programs in your application. It is in your best interests to seek assistance on your program selections, as they may have an impact on your admissions chances.
  • When you apply to SATS, the Admissions Office and the Faculty that provides your chosen course of study will review your application.
