About Tshwane University of Technology
- Tshwane University of Technology (TUT; Afrikaans: Tshwane-Universiteit vir Tegnologie) is a South African higher education school that was formed by combining three technikons: Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon North-West, and Technikon Pretoria.
- The Tshwane University of Technology was founded in 2004 when three technikons merged to form Tshwane University of Technology. The university merger strives to correct historical injustices by offering access to all of our communities and a home for all of our students.
By expanding access to higher education to solve our triple concerns of poverty, inequality, and unemployment, higher education institutions provide an intellectual home for all of our people, especially those on the periphery of society, both rural and urban.
TUT online Registration 2023-2024
- Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is accepting online registrations for the year 2023 from April 1 to November 30, 2022.
- As a result, Tshwane University of Technology encourages interested students to apply as soon as possible for the 2023 academic year by filling out an online application form (Hard-Copy).
Every student who wishes to pursue a new qualification must apply online at the Tshwane University of Technology. This online application window for the Tshwane University of Technology is now open for:
- First-time Applicants to Tshwane University of Technology Tshwane University of Technology students switching to a new qualification and/or specialism
- Students who completed a higher certificate or any other program and intend to continue with additional undergraduate studies did not register students who previously applied for admission and were not provided a space or who were offered a space and accepted the offer.

- You will need the following items to apply for Tshwane University of Technology Online Registration:
- Your South African identity number and
- a functional email address
- If you’re applying for a visa from another country, you’ll need your passport number.
