The North-West University is a South African university with 3 campuses in Potchefstroom, Mahikeng (previously Mafikeng), and Vanderbijlpark. The University’s offices are in Potchefstroom. With its merged status, North-West University has risen to become one of South Africa’s largest universities, with 64 081 students (full-time and distance education).
The Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and the University of North-West merged to form this institution (formerly the University of Bophuthatswana). Potchefstroom University already had a branch in Vanderbijlpark.

How do I apply for a place at NWU Vaal?

Prospective students can apply to the North-West University (NWU Vaal) Vaal Triangle Campus via one of three (3) channels:

It is necessary to complete all parts completely.
If you don’t already have one, click “Log in” and then “Create new student number.”
Select “Log in” if you already have a student number and pin; otherwise, click “Log in” and “Request pin.”
Click submit an application to finish your application.
To finalize your application, click “Log in” and then “Modify application” if any information is still missing.
Before applying, gather more information.

2. Complete the application form by downloading, printing, and filling it out.

3. Apply in person at Building 24, G02 on our campus.

Talk to our student advisors in Building 23 first, and then complete the application form once the APS score is scanned based on the most recent results.
